The Nissan Murano is a midsize SUV from Nissan that debuted in 2002. Since then, three generations have been produced. The Murano is known for its quirky styling and is named after the famous Italian islands where Murano glass hails from.
The 2024 Murano gets two minor changes. Firstly, the base S trim has been discontinued. This makes the SL the new entry point of ownership. Second, the mid-level SL trim now gets a standard panoramic sunroof. There’s also a Midnight Edition that continues over from last year.
Trims offered for the 2024 Murano are:

The 2024 Nissan Murano offers 108 cubic feet of passenger space in a two-row cabin. On the other hand, variants equipped with the power-operated panoramic moonroof have 105.5 cubic feet. However, you aren’t likely to notice the slightly lower interior roofline. In either case, five adults can comfortably sit in the 2024 Murano’s cabin. Moreover, the rear seats offer a recline function for added comfort.
All trims have a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with powered lumbar support and a four-way power passenger seat. The front seats are heated for the SV and SL trims, while Platinum also gains ventilation. The rear outboard seats are heated on SL and Platinum.
The SV and Midnight Edition get faux-leatherette upholstery, while the SL uses leather. Choosing Platinum brings semi-aniline leather with diamond-quilted inserts. Furthermore, all trims have a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob.
The 2024 Murano offers up to 32 cubic feet of cargo space, and the rear seats can be split-folded in a 60-40 fashion. Doing so gives you a total of 65 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The cargo area also has eight tie-down hooks and rings to secure cargo.
Every 2024 Nissan Murano has a remote engine start system with intelligent climate control. This allows you to preheat or pre-cool the vehicle's cabin before you enter it.
The 2024 Nissan Murano continues the distinctive appearance that has set it apart from the competition. All trims have LED headlamps, automatic high beams, and fog lamps. The tail lamps are also LED units. Moreover, you’ll find chrome door handles, a chrome grille, power-folding, and heated external rear-view mirrors across the range.
All trims get UV-reducing solar and privacy glass for the rear windshield and rear-side windows. In addition, a motion-activated power liftgate is standard for the SL and Platinum trims.
The Midnight Edition comes with black trim elements. These include the front grille, outside rear-view mirror caps, and roof rails. There’s also a special Midnight Edition badge and 20-inch black aluminum alloy wheels.
The SL trim comes with 18-inch machine-finished alloy wheels, while the SV and Platinum get 20-inch alloy wheels. All trims use all-season tires.
The 2024 Murano range comes in seven colors:
The 2024 Nissan Murano comes with a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V-6 engine. This makes 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. It uses a CVT gearbox to drive the front wheels. All variants also come with a hill start assist to aid in setting off when the vehicle is parked facing up a hill.
Buyers can choose Nissan’s Intelligent AWD all-wheel-drive system for any trim. The system actively monitors and responds to road conditions. It can also dynamically switch between two- and four-wheel drive modes to ensure optimal fuel economy.
Every 2024 Murano can tow up to 1,500 pounds and comes with a 19-gallon fuel tank.
